The holiday season is here and it’s time to bring out the holiday decorations you’ve stored under stairs, shoved in your attic, hid in your basement, and maybe even left on your house for the past year. Wherever you keep your holiday decor, it’s time to retrieve it and check light strands, purchase new garland, and prepare a space in your home for the tree.

We’re teaming up with the Salvation Army of Washington County to collect donations of holiday decorations - new and used - to redistribute to area families. Help us spread the cheer and brighten up the holiday season for families across Marietta!

From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. during November’s First Friday, bring donations of holiday decorations to the Armory lawn to be collected by the Salvation Army.

Theme description: This months theme is "Thanks For Giving". Gather a group of friends and come downtown to enjoy shopping and dinner specials. Main Street will be hosting several nonprofits on the Armory lawn for this event.

Calling all dashing dachshunds and their devoted owners! It's
time to mark your calendars and wag those tails for the most exhilarating event of the year – Marietta Main Street’s Dachshund Derby! This pawsitively delightful event is set to take place on
Saturday, October 19th, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in downtown Marietta.

Prepare to strut your stuff in style as we kick off the festivities at 12:00 p.m. with a parade walk from The Armory parking lot to the gazebo at Muskingum Park. We encourage you and your fur
babies to go all out with costumes that will make tails wag and jaws drop!

But wait, there's more! Once the parade concludes, it's off to the races on the Armory Lawn at 1:00 p.m. We've got five different race categories based on age, so whether you've got a seasoned senior or a speedy pup, there's a race for everyone. And don't worry, if racing isn't your dog's cup of kibble, we've got plenty of fun contests at stations located outside various downtown businesses. It's a chance for your pooch to show off their skills and win some
pawsome prizes!

But it's not just about the glory of victory – it's also about giving back to our furry friends in need. Entry fee is $5 with proceeds going towards supporting Marietta Main Street. We also
encourage donations to The Humane Society of the Mid Ohio Valley. Every little bit helps support our four-legged pals who are still searching for their forever homes.

As if that wasn't enough excitement for one day, there will be vendors set up near the race area, including representatives from the Humane Society.

So grab your leashes, gather your doxies, and join us for a day of tail-wagging fun at Marietta Main Street’s Dachshund Derby! It's sure to be a barking good time that you and your furry friends won't soon forget.

quickly-growing Marietta favorite, the Marietta Ice Festival, brings thousands of locals and tourists downtown to adore 16 ice sculptures on display throughout the historic, commercial district. In addition to ice sculptures, highlights include a live ice sculpture carving, shops & restaurants open, and more.

Pre-set sculptures will be in place around town at noon with the live sculpture taking place on the Armory lawn at 1:30pm.
