Our first-ever Marietta Ice Festival will take place on Saturday, January 18th in downtown Marietta, OH from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Explore downtown and find 17 carved ice sculptures on display, each created by local artist Tyson Whistler.
Plus, kicking off at 3 p.m., you can catch a live sculpture carving by Tyson on the lawn of the Armory and other fun activities provided by Glenwood Community, title sponsor and more.
Grab a friend, travel in for the day, and strap on your walking shoes to shop in downtown stores, dine in a downtown restaurant, and adore the various sculptures on display throughout our historic district.
This event is rain or shine. This event is free and open to all, including kiddos!
We encourage attendees to be present for the full event - at 3 p.m., when sculptures are freshly displayed and shops are open in the light of day, and at 7 p.m. when the event ends in the dark of night to see the full glow of each lit sculpture!
As you may guess, sculptures are impacted by temperature and precipitation so make sure to mark your calendars to be downtown for this event and see each sculpture for yourself while they last.
A map will be provided soon with sculpture locations.
