As always, First Friday events are in downtown Marietta the First Friday of every month from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.. + FIRST FRIDAY DOWNTOWN BICYCLE PARADE
Time: 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Location: Downtown Marietta
What: Join the Marietta Adventure Company during May's First Friday for a short, critical mass style bicycle parade through downtown Marietta. The ride will begin at Armory Square on Front Street at 7 p.m. From there, the parade will ride the River Trail to Butler Street turning left on Front Street. The route will follow Front Street then turn right on Scammel Street and right again on Second Street. Riders will continue on Second Street to Greene Street turning right on Greene and right again on Front Street. Once on Front Street riders will continue back to Armory Square to complete the ride. Helmets and lights are required for all riders. This is a live course and riders are expected to obey all traffic laws. This ride is free and open to the public. Come join us! Learn more here.
+ 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AT DAD'S PRIMITIVE WORKBENCH
Time: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Location: Dad's Primitive Workbench
What: Join Charlie Clay and his support team to celebrate the 5 Year Anniversary of Dad's Primitive Workbench. There's lots planned for the community to show their support for this major milestone in the life of a small business owner, like giveaways, social media promotions, and more! Learn more here.
+ BONFIRE & S'MORES ON THE OHIO RIVER LEVEE
Time: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Location: Ohio River Levee
What: The Fairfield Inn and Suites of Marietta will be sponsoring s'mores on the levee! Four fire pits will be set up at the Ohio River Levee with free s'more packets to complete the bonfire. Children must be supervised by an adult. Learn more here.
+ TOURISM SHOWCASE
Time: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Location: Armory Lawn & the Ohio River Levee
What: The Marietta-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau will be hosting a tourism showcase on the Armory Lawn and the Ohio River Levee. The Tourism Showcase will allow a opportunity to experience and learn about tourism attractions that can be found in the Mid-Ohio Valley. The Armory lawn will host segway rides with Scott's Super Adventures, a disc golf course with Broughton Nature & Wildlife Ed, Safe Archery with Pasky's Sports & More along with tables set up by Washington County Historical Society and Children's Toy and Doll Museum and the Peoples Bank Theatre. Located at the Ohio River levee will be tables set up by the U.S. Forest Service-Wayne National Forest and the Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge. The showcase will run from 5-9 p.m. at both locations. Learn more here.
