Tiny Shop Story: Jeremiah's Coffee House

Three sisters - Karen, Liz, and Cat - came together with the idea to open an amazing place to enjoy coffee, take in the beauty of downtown Marietta, and add a little pep to the step of our historic downtown. We came together to make our community a great place and offer a superb cup of coffee. Not to mention an atmosphere to make you feel at home, like you just want to prop your feet up on the table and spend some time with friends.

We love and remember sweet baby Jeremiah Raymond Johnson, our namesake and inspiration. Gone too soon, never forgotten, and always in our hearts!

Our ambiance is so important to us and Front Street was hungry for just this space - it seems like a lifetime ago that our doors opened but it has only been two years.

After two years in business, the sights and smells of Jeremiah's Coffee House are familiar as our customers walk in and immediately feel comfortable. With our eclectic furniture, unique menu items, and a brand of coffee that people have now become accustomed to, we look forward to seeing our customers enjoy our atmosphere and our coffee over and over again.

So much changes in two years and even our vision of what Jeremiah's Coffee House could be is ever-changing - we're adding new inventory every day, like the kinds of merchandise that sold at SWAGG. At the heart of it all, still, despite changes and transitions as any growing business has, we are honoring our Jeremiah Raymond and providing an amazing atmosphere for all of Marietta to enjoy.

What do other people say about Jeremiah's?

My daughter and I spent an afternoon at Jeremiah’s while she was home on spring break. The atmosphere was very relaxing and inviting. There were several people taking advantage of this place to get some alone time studying, engage in stimulating conversations with others, or just to grab a quick coffee to go! The lunch wraps were AMAZING! Overall a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon while we caught up with each other!

Absolutely love this place! Quaint little restaurant with the best chicken salad. The young man who waited on us was so pleasant and helpful. I’m not a coffee drinker but the aroma in there was awesome! Definitely a “must go” when you’re in Marietta!
