February's First Friday on Friday, February 2nd from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. will feature a Wine & Chocolate Walk theme. Downtown shops and restaurants will be open late to show off their love for Marietta - exclusive specials, promotions, and more are in store for all visitors to downtown during First Friday, right before Valentine's Day!
"There are many, many ways our community can show love for Marietta. One of the most significant ways to take care of our community that has a lasting impact is by shopping locally, so we hope people join us for every First Friday, especially February's," says Cristie Thomas, Executive Director of Marietta Main Street.
Main Street's First Friday Committee planned an additional layer to February's First Friday: the ticketed portion of the Wine & Chocolate Walk.
For just 100 lucky ticket holders, the Wine & Chocolate Walk will be extra special. Wine & Chocolate Walk ticket holders will be able to enjoy a variety of exclusive perks and goodies to help them celebrate the evening in style.
"There's a lot to explore about local wines and culinary fare, especially downtown," says Tim Glover, a newly-elected member of Main Street's Board of Directors, who sits on the Promotions Committee charged with uplifting downtown Marietta.
Wine & Chocolate Walk ticket holders will receive:
+ Choice of (1) flight of wine or (1) glass of wine from Marietta Wine Cellars, along with complimentary chocolate snacks and desserts
+ (1) 8 oz. custom wine glass with (1) locally-made exclusive wine charm
+ (1) 1/4 lb. box of chocolate from Putnam Chocolate
+ Choice of (1) small latte or (1) small bag of coffee from Jeremiah's Coffee House, in either Raspberry Chocolate or Mocha Java flavors
+ (1) Chocolate Lava Cake with purchase of an entree from the Historic Lafayette Hotel
+ 20% off an item of your choice from Dad's Primitive Workbench
Plus, each ticket holder will receive (1) raffle ticket to be entered to win the grand prize: a night out on the town. Thanks to The Galley, The Adelphia Music Hall, and The Hackett Hotel, one ticket holder will receive dinner, a show, and a night for two in downtown Marietta.
"Just in time for Valentine's Day, you can have a perfect romantic weekend virtually planned for you. Eat, stay, catch a show at The Adelphia, and enjoy everything Historic Marietta has to offer," shares Marjorie Clayman, who manages the marketing for the three businesses.
Tickets for the Wine & Chocolate Walk are $35 each and will be sold online only. Ticket sales are capped at 100.
Ticket holders will receive an email reminder the week of the Wine & Chocolate Walk and can expect to pick up their event guide, wrist band, and other materials from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 2nd in the Marietta Main Street office located at 100 Front Street, Suite 300.
